TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (October 26, 2016) - Postseason is on the horizon for fall sports, which means the regular season polls are winding down.
Women's Volleyball
The NJCAA released its final volleyball polls on Tuesday and Region 8 took five of the top 12 spots in the NJCAA Division I Volleyball Poll.
Region 8 No. 1 College of Central Florida again leads the way with a No. 5 ranking for the second straight week. The Patriots completed a perfect run through the Mid-Florida Conference with a win against Santa Fe College on Tuesday night.
Up next are a pair of teams surging towards the postseason. Miami Dade College and Polk State College jumped five spots each, to Nos. 9 and 10, respectively.
Two more Region 8 foes check in behind the Sharks and Eagles - No. 11 Daytona State College and No. 12 Hillsborough Community College.
Men's Soccer
Three of Region 8's four men's soccer programs are ranked in the NJCAA Division I Men's Soccer Poll, led by Daytona State at No. 12, down one spot from last week.
Broward College held on to the No. 16 spot while Eastern Florida State College rejoined the national rankings at No. 20.
Women's Soccer
Eastern Florida State stayed put at No. 8 in this week's NJCAA Division I Women's Soccer Poll.
The Titans are joined in the poll by No. 18 Daytona State.
Eastern Florida State will host the Region 8 Tournament this Friday and Sunday. The Titans will be joined in Melbourne by Daytona State, Broward and Polk State.
